Overview of Content Management

Concours Pro’s Communities feature lets admins and members build, manage, and interact with posts and channels. With tools like video embedding, comment management, and likes, it’s designed to spark lively discussions and keep your community buzzing. Use these features to drive meaningful conversations and create a thriving group environment.

Here’s what you get with Content Management in Communities:

  • Group Channels: Organise discussions by topic or theme. Only admins can create these channels to keep things structured.
  • Posts: The core of your community content. Members can share posts with text, images, videos, or attachments, tied to specific channels for focused discussions.
  • Home Timeline: A central hub showing all posts from every member across all channels, keeping everyone in the loop.
  • Embedding Videos: Add videos from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, or Loom to make posts more engaging.
  • Attachments: Include images, GIFs, PDFs, or other files to enrich your posts.
  • Comments and Likes: Boost engagement with comments (which can include media) and likes on posts or comments.
  • Post Deletion: Admins and moderators can remove posts that break community rules. Members can delete their own posts or comments.

These tools work together to create a dynamic, interactive space for your community, fostering connection and collaboration.

Usage Cases for Content Management

Here’s some examples of how you can use content in Communities for different goals:

Channels help keep discussions organised by topic, and only admins can create them. Here’s how:

  • Find the Add Channel button in the group’s left sidebar and click it.
  • A pop-up window will ask for channel details:
    • Channel Name: Keep it short (15 characters max), e.g., “Marketing Updates”.
    • Channel Description: Summarise the channel’s purpose in 60 characters or less, e.g., “Discuss marketing reports and insights.”
    • Channel Icon: Pick an icon that visually represents the channel for quick recognition.
  • Enter the name, description, and choose an icon.
  • Click to create the channel.
