Enabling, Hiding, and Locking Membership Comments
Feedback is key to making your courses better and helping students learn. With Concours Pro, you can easily manage comments in your membership courses to encourage interaction. Here’s how to control comments for your lessons or categories.
Enable comments for an entire category:
- Find your course. Go to Memberships > Courses > Products.
- Pick an existing Online Course from the product list.
- Go to the Comments tab.
- Choose the category you want to enable, hide, or lock comments for.
Enable comments for specific lessons in a category:
- Navigate to the Products tab.
- Select an existing product or create a new one.
- Click on the Comments section.
- Select the specific lessons within a category to enable, hide, or lock comments.
What Each Comment Feature Does
Concours Pro gives you three options to manage comments. Here’s what each one does:
Enabled:
- The comment box is visible on the lesson page.
- Students can see existing comments and add new ones.
Hidden:
- The comment box is not visible on the page.
- Existing comments are hidden from view.
Locked:
- Students can’t add new comments.
- Existing comments remain visible.
Managing Comments for All Products
You can oversee comments across all your products in one place:
- Go to the Products tab.
- Click Products.
- Select Manage Comments to view and control all comments.
Changing Comment Visibility
You can decide who sees specific comments by adjusting their visibility settings:
- In the Comments Manager, find the comment you want to adjust.
- Use the dropdown to switch between User Only or Public.
User Only:
- Only the course creator and the student who posted the comment can see it.
Public:
- All students and the course creator can view the comment.
Deleting and Restoring Comments
Sometimes you need to remove or bring back a comment. Here’s how:
Delete a comment:
- Head to the Products tab.
- Click Manage Comments.
- Find the comment you want to remove and click Delete.
Restore a deleted comment:
- Go to the Products tab.
- Click Manage Comments.
- Switch to the Deleted tab.
- Locate the comment you want to bring back and click Restore.
