Prerequisites
As a prerequisite to integrating your Instagram Direct Messages into Concours Pro, the following must be done:
- Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page or managed through Facebook’s tools such as Business Suite or Creator Studio.
- Your Instagram account must allow access to messages so that they can be accessed by connected apps, such as Concours Pro’s LeadConnector architecture.
How to Allow Access to Instagram DMs
Manage how your Instagram messages are accessed across various apps.
On the Instagram mobile app:
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap the 3 line icon (Top Right).
- Tap Messages and story replies.
- Tap Message controls.
- Under Connected Tools, switch on Allow Access to Messages.
Who Has DM Access
If Allow Access to Messages is enabled, anyone with access to your Facebook Business Suite, Creator Studio, or other connected third-party apps can manage your Instagram DMs. Disable this setting to restrict DM access to people with direct login access to the Instagram account.
