Concours Pro lets account admins choose which fields can be searched for records like Contacts, Opportunities, and Custom Objects. This means you can tailor searches to what matters most to your business, making it quicker to find the right info. You can also use advanced regex searches for specific fields to narrow things down even further.

For Contacts and Opportunities, you can pick up to six fields to search. You’ll need to type at least three characters in the search box to get results.

  • For Contacts, Contact Name, Phone Number, and Email Address are always searchable and can’t be removed.
  • For Opportunities, Opportunity Name is always searchable and can’t be changed.

Admin-Only Control

Only account admins can tweak which fields are searchable. Regular users can’t make these changes, ensuring consistency across your team.


Changes Apply Everywhere

Once you update the searchable fields, the changes roll out across all search bars in Concours Pro. For Contacts, this affects:

  • Contacts Search Bar
  • Global Search Bar
  • Starting a new message in Conversations
  • Booking a new appointment in Calendars
  • Creating or updating tasks in Contacts
  • Contacts and Additional Contacts fields in Opportunities

It also applies to these modules:

  • Dashboard
  • Workflows
  • Forms
  • Surveys
  • Payments
  • Invoices
  • Documents & Contracts
  • Custom Objects
  • Affiliate Manager
  • Emails
  • Client Portal

Concours Pro supports regex for more precise searches, letting you fine-tune results. However, regex won’t work on fields like contact names, phone numbers, monetary values, or numeric data.

Here’s what regex can do:

  • *abc: Finds records ending with “abc”.
  • *abc*: Finds records containing “abc” anywhere.
  • abc*: Finds records starting with “abc”.

How to Adjust Searchable Fields

Follow these steps to customise searchable fields in Concours Pro:

  1. Go to Account > Settings > Custom Fields.
  2. Click the kebab menu (three dots) in the top-right corner and select Edit Searchable Fields.
  3. Choose the object you want to update, like Contacts or Opportunities.
  4. Pick the fields you want to make searchable.
  5. Hit Save and confirm the changes.
  6. Your selected fields are now searchable across all modules and users in the account.
