How to Create a QR Code
Here’s how to whip up a QR code in Concours Pro’s QR Code Builder, from start to finish.
- Go to Sites > QR Codes.
- Hit the blue Create QR Code button in the top-right corner or the + Create New button in the centre of the screen.
Step 1: Name and Select Type
- Give your QR code a name.
- Choose the type of QR code (e.g., Review Platform, Website, Funnel, Form, Call, SMS, Email).
- Paste the URL or details (e.g., phone number, email address) you want the QR code to link to.
- Click Next to start designing.
Customising Your QR Code
Concours Pro’s QR Code Builder gives you plenty of options to make your QR code look sharp and on-brand.
- Background Colour: Pick a colour for the QR code’s background.
- Dot Colour: Change the colour of the QR’s data dots.
- Dot Style: Select from classic, square, or rounded dot shapes.
- Marker Border and Centre: Adjust the shape and colour of the corner markers.
- Logo or Background Image: Add a logo to the centre or a background image for extra brand flair.
- In the Logo tab, choose no logo, a predefined option (e.g., Google, Facebook), or upload your own.
- Optionally remove the logo’s background for a cleaner look.
Saving or Downloading Your QR Code
Once your QR code is ready, you can save it or download it in these formats:
- PNG: Great for websites, emails, or digital use.
- SVG: Perfect for scalable or responsive designs.
- PDF: Ideal for printing.
Not ready to download? Click Save, and your QR code will be stored in the QR Codes list.
Managing Your QR Codes
You can easily view, tweak, or delete your QR codes:
- Go to the QR Code dashboard.
- Hover over a code to see action buttons.
- Click the blue pencil icon to edit the code’s details or design.
- Click the three-dot menu to download or delete the code.
Cropped and Transparent QR Codes
- Cropped QR Codes: If you skip adding a background, header, or footer, Concours Pro trims the QR code for a neat, compact look.
- Transparent PNGs: For seamless integration, create PNGs with full transparency by sliding the background colour’s alpha slider to 0% opacity in the QR Code Builder. This lets you overlay the QR code onto other designs effortlessly.
