Overview

In email marketing, it’s vital to have accurate data for assessing your audience’s engagement. Sometimes, automated bots can interact with emails, distorting key metrics like open rates and click-through rates. To address this, Concours Pro has introduced a Bot Detection feature to ensure your statistics reflect real user behaviour, not bot activity.

How Email Bot Detection Works

The Bot Detection feature in Concours Pro helps you manage the influence of bots on your email campaigns by taking the following actions when bots are identified:

  • Preventing Stats Increments: When a bot opens or clicks an email, those interactions won’t count towards your open and click rates, ensuring more accurate engagement figures.
  • Preventing Automation Execution: Automation sequences triggered by email interactions will not be activated by bots, preserving the integrity of your automated workflows, and only running them based on human interactions.

How to Enable/Disable Email Bot Detection

Email Bot Detection feature is switched off by default. To activate or deactivate it, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Business Profile > General.
  2. Tick / Untick the checkbox Bot Detection Preventing Statistics Incrementation and Automation Execution to enable or disable Bot Detection.
