Settings Overview
Concours Pro’s Online Course settings allow you to control the following aspects of your Online Course.
Go to Memberships > Courses > Settings.
- Site details – Default site details that are used if not individually defined for each course: Logos , Custom CSS / Javascript and tracking code. Plus Online Course video download settings are located here.
- Domain setup – Setup up your custom domain on your membership sites. The domain is shared across your Client portal, Communities and Courses.

Course Creation
To create a new course:
- Go to Memberships > Courses > Products.
- Click Create Product.
- Select Start from Scratch.
- In the next screen you can select course templates:
- Sprint Course – Short courses to build gateway to memberships.
- Marathon Course – Train and upskill your audience within your niche.
- Membership – Nurture and mentor your network.
- Build your own – Blank template for you to build a custom product that matches your content.
- Give your course a name then click Create Product.
Alternatively, to import a course from Kajabi, click Create Product then Import from Kajabi, and follow the prompts.
Configuring Your Course
Once your course is created, you will land on the main page of your course. From here you can configure all aspects of the course by visiting these tabs:
Outline
Access the outline of your course content and it’s structure, including categories, lessons, quizzes, assignments and certificates. Read below for detailed instructions on creating your course content.

Customise (How to edit your course design)
Customise your active course template or pick a new template from library. Additionally you can customise templates and save for later.
Clicking Customise on your selected template will open the template customiser allowing control over the design variables. Select the page in the top left: Product (Course main page) or Lesson then edit design variables.

Offers (How To Sell Your Course)
Offers are how you get students to sign up for your course. They are the ecommerce component of your Learning Management System.
You can control how your offer is framed by navigating to the following tabs:
Details
- Title – Title of your offer
- Description – Used on the checkout page in the absence of a custom checkout description
- Advanced
- Custom JS
- Custom CSS
- Tracking Code – Header and Footer
- Included Products – Choose your product(s) (Online Courses) to be included in this offer
- Offer Status – Draft / Published
- Offer Pricing – Read on for details on configuring pricing.
- Offer Access
- Begin access at specific date
- Restrict access to specific number of days (after purchase)
- Offer background Image (Recommended dimensions of 1280×720)
Upsell
Upsells give you the capability to make additional income from your membership courses.
Choose from One click upsells, which allow you to sell an offer immediately after initial offer is purchased.
Or an In app upsell, which allows you to lock products or offers as a bundle in the My Library page.
Upsells are additional offers that are linked to the original one. It is possible to chain many offers together to offer multiple levels of upsells.
Get Link
The Get Link option gives you the direct link to this offer, so you can include it in marketing, campaigns or other locations.
Preview
Preview will pop up a new tab with a preview of the offer, exactly as it will be seen when your users purchase it.
More Actions
Under more actions, you’ll find the option to Delete Offer.
Edit Checkout
To edit the checkout, click the Edit Checkout button in the top right from within your selected offer. This is where you can edit the design of the ecommerce flow that users will go through to purchase your offer.
You can customise the following components:
- Offer Details
- Title
- Banner Image
- Banner image height
- Video
- Poster Image (Recommended dimensions of 1280×720)
- Logo Image (Recommended dimensions of 540×120)
- Checkout Copy
- Extra Contact Information
- Collect address
- Collect phone number

Comments
This is where you manage comments that are left on your course by users.
You can select a different product (course) in the Product drop-down.
You can set the default behaviour for new comments in the New Comment Privacy drop-down (visible to instructor only, or public).
Under these options you can view and manage all the comments on your selected course.

Certificates
Under Certificates, you can attach existing certificates to the course, so that they will be sent to users upon completion of the course. You can also mark previously attached certificates as inactive or delete them.
Community Groups
The Community Groups tab gives you an overview of all groups to which the current course has been added.
Course Pricing Options
Course offers have a comprehensive range of price options available. These include:
Free
Course offered at no charge.
Enter custom text to describe your free offer in the Price text override field.
Onetime Payment
One single payment is required to access the course. Set the price here, and also enter custom text to describe your price in the Price text override field.
Select your Payment Mode as Test, for a test environment, Or Live for live payments
Recurring Subscription
Recurring subscription payments are required to access the course. Members will be charged on your selected regular interval. The first payment will be processed immediately after checkout or after the trial period has ended.
Members will maintain Product access until their subscription is cancelled or the membership is revoked manually.
Select the following options:
- Billing Period – daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, custom number of days.
- Display amount – Subscription amount price.
- Trial Period Days – 1-90, or leave blank for none.
- Setup Fee – Amount will be charged immediately upon purchasing this offer. Can be used to create a paid trial.
- Number of Payments – Leave blank for recurring payments with no limit.
- Price text override – custom text to describe your price.
- Payment Mode – Test, for a test environment, Or Live for live payments.
Creating Your Course Structure
From within your selected course, click on the Outline tab to view the current course structure.
Course Structure
Courses are organised into Categories. Each category can contain posts such as Lessons, Subcategories, Assessments (Quiz or Assignment)or Certificates.
Each course can also have a Certificate for completion of the entire course.
Click the Up/Down icon on the far right of each category to expand / contract the content inside.
Click Preview preview your course and via the three-dot menu you can choose to Clone, Share or Delete your course.
Category & Post Statuses
All categories have one of the following statuses:
Published – The category is visible to students.
Draft – The category is not visible to students – Only Concours Pro users with correct permissions can see the post.
Locked – The category is published, but locked. It is only visible to the public when another selected post is completed first.
Drip – The category will become visible after a set number of days after sign up, or on a certain date.
Posts (Lessons, Subcategories, Assessments or Certificates) also have similar statuses which can be selected by hovering over the icon in the far right of the post row.
Post statuses include Draft, Locked, and Published. You can also delete posts from this option.
Adding Content
Add a Category
- Click the plus icon next to the product structure heading at the top of the page
- Select Add Category
- Name your category, then Save.
To edit the details of an existing category, simply click on the category name to open the category details screen. Here you can edit name, description, parent category, visibility, and thumbnail. Plus you can also access all of the included content from this screen.
Add Posts Within Categories:
Press the plus icon next to the category name, or next to the Contents heading (if in the category details screen).
- Select Add Lesson
- Name your Lesson and Save.
Or
- Add Subcategory
- Name your Subcategory and Save.
- Note: Subcategories have the same editable options as Categories, accessible by clicking the subcategory name
Or
- Add Assessment
- Name your Assessment
- Select Assignment or Quiz and Save.
Or
- Add Certificate
- Select your Certificate template and Save.
Editing Lessons
Once you have created your lesson, click on it to view and edit in the lesson details screen. All lessons offer the same editable structure, which includes:
- Uploaded Video – .mp4, .webm, .mov files only. Recommended aspect ratio: 16:9. 5GB Max File size.
- OR Uploaded Audio – .aac, .mp3, .wav files only. 2GB Max file size.
Select and enter Link to import Video or Audio from link. URL must be public and unprotected.
- Title
- Category – Changing category will move your lesson to another the category.
- Description – Include formatting, headings, media, links, tables and custom values.
- Visibility – Published / Draft
- Lesson Thumbnail (Recommended dimensions of 1280×720)
- Video Thumbnail (Recommended dimensions of 1280×720)
- Attached Files
Click Preview to see it exactly as your students will. Don’t forget to hit Save!
Editing Assessments
Editing Assignments
Click on the assignment name to open the assignments detail screen. This is presented in the following structure, with editable fields for:
- Title
- Ungraded Assignment – Checkbox to indicate this assignment is not requiring graded.
- Assignment Thumbnail – Recommended Dimensions of 1280×720.
- Instructions – Up to 2000 characters.
- Upload Templates – Attached files showing required structure for student submissions.
- Confirmation Message – Thank you message after submission uploaded. Up to 2000 characters.
Editing Quizzes
Click on the quiz name to open the quiz detail screen. It follows a similar layout to the assignments detail screen, with the addition of questions for the quiz.
- Quiz Title
- This quiz requires passing grade – checkbox to indicate quiz requires a passing grade.
- Passing Grade – Input the passing grade as a percentage.
- Quiz Thumbnail – Recommended dimensions of 1280×720.
- Pass Confirmation Message – message displayed to students upon passing.
- Fail Confirmation Message – message displayed to students upon failing.
Editing Quiz Questions
Below the settings you’ll find the quiz questions.
To edit:
- Click Add Question to add a new question at the bottom of the question list.
- Click a question to expand it.
- Choose either Single Choice or Multiple Choice from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the question text in the Question field.
- Click Add Choice to add an answer option.
- Enter your answer text for that answer option in the Answer field.
- If that is the correct answer, (or one of the correct answers in the case of multiple choice), tick the Correct Option box.
- Repeat from step 4 to add additional answer options.
- Optionally enter an explanation by clicking Add Explanation.
Hit the Red Garbage Bin Icon to delete answer options or questions, and the Copy Icon to duplicate questions.
